The history of the Humber Pullman started in 1930, when the four-door limousine with Thrupp & Mabberley coachwork was introduced by the British Humber Company as a successor to the Humber 20/65 hp. Between 1948 and 1954, the Humber Pullman was offered with a central partition for chauffeured use and the Oxford version carries this special feature.

King George VI commissioned MXO 143 and our model carries all the details of the original, with particular emphasis on the interior. The dashboard, interior dividing panel and door panels are brown. Seating is grey and the rear shelf is finished in black, as is the dashboard top. Given a contrasting sunshine coloured steering wheel, the inside of the car is finished off in light grey.

The outer body of the car is black with bright silver masking and in keeping with the original, the tyres have been given the white wall treatment. One final intricate detail is the Humber badge faithfully replicated in red out of silver.
